Dr. Hannah Kakara Anderson, PhD, MBA
Hannah Kakara Anderson, PhD, MBA uses tools like design-based and qualitative research to answer pressing questions about equity. Her work defines equity as not only the restoration of equality for historically marginalized groups, but going beyond equality to proactively ensure just treatment, access, and opportunities that create and sustain a diverse society where all can thrive. In medical education, Dr. Kakara Anderson’s work involves learner assessment, curriculum development, and program evaluation. She collaborates with marginalized individuals and communities to co-create programs and study designs that incorporate their lived experiences while examining existing educational and medical structures.
Dr. Kakara Anderson has pioneered the application of justice-oriented assessment (originally developed in K-12 educational research) to address inequity in medical education learner assessment. She works alongside pediatric residents, patients, faculty, and staff to redesign effective, more equitable assessments at five children’s hospitals across the U.S.

Dr. Justin Bullock, MD, MPH
Justin Bullock, MD, MPH is the Associate Director for Educational Scholarship center for learning and innovation in medical education. Dr. Bullock is an Assistant Professor in Nephrology and the Co-director of the Docs with Disabilities Initiative. Dr. Bullock is passionate about creating safe environments in medicine where everyone is able to bring their authentic selves to work in the spirit of healing.
Dr. Bullock is a passionate medical educator: a teacher, researcher, and lifelong learner. His primary research focus centers on how educators can foster identity safety in the learning environment, where patients and providers can be their authentic selves in the workplace. He is currently completing a PhD in Health Professions Education.

Dr. Benjamin Kinnear, MD, MEd
Benjamin Kinnear, MD, MEd has built a career dedicated to transforming medical education and providing quality patient care. His work as an attending physician and as an associate professor in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics demonstrates his commitment to innovation, mentorship, and systems-level thinking. He serves on editorial boards for high-impact journals in health professions education.
Beyond his administrative and clinical work, Dr. Kinnear is an enthusiastic mentor, partnering with learners on research and educational innovation projects. His approach is grounded in curiosity and humility. “I love clinical teaching, education theory, and innovation. My goal is to give residents a world-class training experience.”
Whether mentoring future physicians, leading system-wide innovations, or refining the science of assessment, Dr. Kinnear remains a powerful advocate for education that meets the evolving needs of learners and the public they serve.
